I know because it's how I felt for years. After being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, I gained 20 pounds and my blood sugars were out of control. I spent so much time researching, asking questions, experimenting, and trying to control every element of my life simply to gain control over my blood sugar outcomes — but nothing worked.


Then after 9 years of living with T1D and spending 7 years going to college to become a Registered Dietitian, Diabetes Educator, and Personal Trainer, I finally obtained the information needed to get the results I was searching for. I dropped 18 pounds and have maintained great control of my blood sugars while doing so.


Because these strategies changed my life in such a positive way, I decided to create this revolutionary program tailored specifically for women living with type 1 diabetes who want to take control of their own health and fitness goals.


Leveraging my expertise I structured the program to use evidence-based diet, insulin, and activity hacks that go well beyond what you’ve learned in your Endocrinologist offices to improve blood sugars levels, A1C values, glucose time-in-range (TIR), and relationship with food… which makes all the difference! "I decided to sign up for the this program because I knew that over the last few years I had been gradually been putting on weight.


My clothes were tighter, insulin needs were higher and now that I am in my 30s I quickly noticed that it was not as easy to lose weight as when I was in my 20s.


I had tried other so called “diets” which left me hungry and were so restrictive that I did not stick with them long.


I struggled with motivation to eat better and working out because my blood sugar would always crash during exercise and I would have to stop to treat a low.


The program taught me about balancing my percent of carb, fat and protein on a daily basis and made me more aware of what is in the food I like to eat and made me change how often I ate certain foods.


I would recommend this program to any other type 1s who have struggled with losing weight because not only is Kelsie a Dietitian/Diabetes Educator she is also type 1 herself and in my opinion that is a major advantage because she knows exactly what our struggles are as a type 1 on a daily basis.


When I started this program in June I weighed 162.8. By September I was down to my goal of 150lbs, and then was able to lose 5 more pounds by October. I was able to lose a total of 17.6lbs!

I am so lucky to have found Kelsie my diabetes Dietitian, as she has made a world of difference in the knowledge I have about type 1 diabetes and has made it manageable for me since I was diagnosed 9 months ago.


She has helped my A1c go down a few WHOLE numbers with tips and tricks that I will use forever. She is currently helping me understand what is going on as I begin coming out of the honeymoon phase.


P.S. she has also helped my aunt tremendously who has had type 1 for many years learn NEW things to help stabilize her sugars.


Having type 1 herself, Kelsie understands the struggles we go through daily and does lessons each session on different topics and how they affect our blood sugar. She helps explain why and what to do about it. She also explains why I may be having highs or lows due to workouts, food, or hormones.


She really listens and gives advice based on personal experiences/lifestyles by looking at yourCGM reports, food logs, pumps/injection habits, ect. She is so encouraging and makes me feel like I can handle anything that comes my way! She uses Zoom so she can help from anywhere!
